1:1 ABA Therapy

1:1 ABA Therapy focuses on building meaningful skills and reducing behaviours that may interfere with daily life. A Lifetime Behavioural Services team—consisting of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont.) and Supervised Instructor Therapists—works collaboratively with the client and family to understand individual priorities and goals. The team completes assessments, develops and implements individualized programming, and monitors progress over time to support ongoing growth and goal attainment.

Areas of focus may include communication, social and play skills, daily living skills, and behaviour support. Weekly session hours are determined collaboratively between the family and the Lifetime team. All goals are documented within an individualized Program Plan, which is regularly reviewed and updated throughout the course of services.

What to Expect

During a typical session, you can expect:

  • Individualized instruction targeting specific skill goals

  • Teaching embedded within play, routines, and real-life situations

  • Positive reinforcement to encourage skill development

  • Ongoing data collection to monitor progress and guide clinical decisions

  • Collaboration with other professionals as requested by the family

Sessions are led by a Supervised Instructor Therapist and overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont.), ensuring clinical oversight and consistency across services. Families are encouraged to maintain consistent and open communication with the clinical team to support the use of the skills beyond the therapy session.
